For those that know me personally, they may know I'm at an art school at the moment. Since I never went to art school or had art classes outside of internet video tutorials, written tutorials or high school art classes, my first semester (and most likely a few more semesters after the first possibly?) has been full of foundation courses aka the basics.
This leads me to my next point, because they're the basics, that means these classes are traditional medium based, which means most of my deviations will be traditional art for a while before being digital. Unless I have a weekend free, then I may do something for fun, digitally.
Looking at my degree planner [for Visual Development], next semester should be my last one of foundation based courses. The rest seem to be Visual Development or Illustration based with a few animation courses. I'll have to ask my adviser to be sure about some of these. A few of these are if I plan to draw concept art for animation (as opposed to game and live action).
